While the cafe has a daily selection of whole desserts that are available for purchase, Francis suggests a minimum of 48 hours advance notice if you need a specific flavor or something that’s highly decorated.

There really are few excuses to have a “cake emergency,” Gates laughs. “Birthdays, anniversaries — every year, you know when they are going to happen.”

Gates suggests calling right after you’ve set a date for an event, even if you don’t know what you want to do yet. “We can get your info in the system, then we’ll have plenty of time to work on the details.”
